More people than ever before are surviving cancer, in Sheffield alone around 14,600 people were living with and beyond cancer in 2010, Macmillan Cancer Support estimates that this could rise to 28,500 by 2030.

The Macmillan Survivorship Partnership in South Yorkshire, Bassetlaw and North Derbyshire is working to ensure that people living with and beyond cancer feel well supported and able to lead the lives they choose.  Sheffield CCG is one of seven commissioning partners working with Macmillan Cancer Support to improve the lives of local people affected by cancer.

There are a number of projects happening across Sheffield, they’re all focused on ensuring equal access to care services and promoting patient self management.
