The new accessibility regulations mean public sector organisations have a legal duty to make sure websites meet accessibility requirements. As an organisation we are committed to making our website accessible for all, we aim to achieve the recommended government standard for web accessibility (WCAG 2.1 AA).
The majority of web pages should be accessible.
However we are in the process of having an external company test the website to report back on any changes that are required.
Some of the accessible features include:
You can change the text and background colour by selecting the text only option which is available at the top of all our pages.
There is a google translate widget that you can find at the bottom of every page on our site. This will translate our website copy into any language in which you wish to view it.
If you have any language requirements that aren't addressed by this please contact us by emailing sheccg.comms@nhs.net, or call 0114 305 1212. Please make clear what you need translating and which language you would like it in.
We aim to make the website text as simple as possible to understand.
If you have problems accessing information on this website, or would like any of our work in a different format like a more accessible PDF, large print, easy read, audio recording, or braille please contact the Communications Team on sheccg.comms@nhs.net.
We are always looking to improve the accessibility of this website and are continuing to audit our content as we go along. If you find something that you are unable to access, or we have failed to identify a barrier, please let us know. Contact the Communications Team on sheccg.comms@nhs.net.
