Patient Participations Groups across Sheffield

What is a Patient Participation Group?

Patient Participation Groups (PPG) also known as Patient Reference Groups (PRG) are a route to which patients can advise General Practices on topics that truly matter them and to help identify and resolve problems on wide patient interests.

Patient Participation Groups (PPGs) became a contract requirement in England from April 2016. Each General Practice (GP) in Sheffield is therefore required to have a representative group established and functioning over the course of this year.

Sheffield Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) hold quarterly Sheffield Patient Participation Network that provides an opportunity for members of PPGs from across Sheffield can come together, network, and find out about and contribute to projects happening across the City.
