Bereavement Service

Bereavement Service

Provides support and counselling to carers, families and friends following the loss of a loved one who received care at St Luke’s or from their community team. The team offer support through one-to-one counselling, home visits and regular phone calls, as well as holding fortnightly support groups in the city centre.

St Luke’s also works with the Brathay Trust, a charitable organisation which specialises in working with young people, to offer ‘Time 4 you’. A series of sessions and workshops for young people aged 10 – 16 who are either bereaved or who know someone who is terminally ill. Sessions are held on Saturdays, 10am – 12pm at St Luke’s. For more information please contact them on 0114 235 7498.
