I would like to request the following information relating to your CCGs commissioning of providers for endoscopy services. (If multiple CCGs overseen please specify for each)

1. What was the total spend on endoscopy services in the last financial year in your CCG?

The CCG has interpreted your request for ‘endoscopy services’ to mean diagnostic and therapeutic procedures using an endoscope.  We have therefore used SUS data to identify activity at all providers where the HRG description contains endoscopy/endoscopic, colonoscopy, bronchoscopy, hysteroscopy and cystoscopy.  We have not included laparoscopic surgery.

The value in SUS for 18/19 M1-11 is £10,336,908.

2. What was the total spend on community-based endoscopy services in the last financial year in your CCG? N/A

3. Within your CCG, do you currently outsource any community-based endoscopy services for your patients? No
