We are pleased to respond to your request for information and our response is set out below: 

Request 

Please can you tell me how many beds the CCG commissions in locked rehabilitation units and Assessment Treatment Units on the present date (5th July 2019).

Please state how much each bed costs on a daily basis and please give the name of the unit and the length of time the patient has been at the unit.

Locked rehabilitation units 

We have a devolved arrangement with Sheffield Health and Social Care NHS Foundation Trust (SHSC), for commissioning locked rehabilitation beds in Sheffield so this would be best answered by SHSC. 

Assessment and Treatment Service (ATS) 

• CCG currently commission 6 beds (of which less than 5 were in use with Sheffield patients at 5th July). Due to small numbers we will not disclose the length of stay for these patients as it may help to identify them in conjunction with other information already in the public domain.
• The SHSC Assessment and Treatment Service is the name of the unit based at Firshill Rise.
• The total cost (as part of the wider SHSC block payment) as commissioned by Sheffield CCG for the ATS is £1.1m for 2019.
