Gastrointestinal (GI) care 

A ‘right care’ approach is being used to improve pathways of gastrointestinal care in order to provide better value healthcare for Sheffield patients. As part of the work, case studies of patient journeys have been developed based on patient interviews.

The six diagnoses for the case studies are:

• Reflux / Dyspepsia
• Inflammatory Bowel Disease
• Cholelithiasis
• Irritable Bowel Syndrome / Medically Unexplained Symptoms
• Alcoholic Liver Disease
• Infection Diarrhoea
