Covid vaccination live Q&A with expert panel

You are invited to join our live Q&A session with an expert panel discussing the covid vaccination programme in Sheffield.

Date: Wednesday 2 February

Time: 6pm – 6.45pm

The expert panel includes:

Greg Fell, Sheffield’s Director of Public Health – Greg is a Director of Public Health in Sheffield. He graduated from Nottingham University with a degree in biochemistry and physiology in 1993. Greg has worked in a number of roles in health promotion and public health.

Dr Ben Allen, GP and CCG Governing Body Elected Member – Ben is a GP partner at Birley Health Centre. He is also the co-founder of GP Video Library which creates informative videos for GPs to send to their patients. Ben has an interest in innovation in the NHS, team health and well-being and improvements to the health care system.

Dr Lisa Philip, GP and CCG Governing Body Elected Member – Lisa is a partner at Chapelgreen Practice, covering a diverse patient population across the north of Sheffield. Lisa is the wellbeing lead at her practice and has an interest in social prescribing and health promotion.

During the session our panel will discuss the current covid situation in Sheffield, why the vaccine is important and where to get it. Dr Philip will also speak about her own experience with long covid and how having the vaccine can reduce the risk of long covid.
