Shaping Sheffield
NHS Sheffield CCG and our partners in the city are currently developing a five year strategy for Health and Social Care in Sheffield. This is known as 'Shaping Sheffield'.
Organisations from across Sheffield came together at our 'Shaping health and care' event on 29 September 2016 to help in the development of this strategy and agree how we improve health and care for people in the city.

- The financial challenge faced by Sheffield City Council and the local health economy with year on year funding cuts impacting on the whole system including third sector and all other partners, organisations and businesses
- The ‘Sustainability and Transformation Plan’ which is beginning to address how the health and social care systems of a wider South Yorkshire area
- How we can shape health and care in Sheffield
- How we develop a 'Person Centred Approach' to integrating health and care

Summary of the 29 September 2016 event
Doing things the way they have always been done is no longer an option. This is why we want to work together with the whole of Sheffield to look at how we shape services going forward.
Please note that this was a closed event for invite only but we see this as the beginning of an exciting and challenging conversation in which everyone should have their say. If you would like to feedback any thoughts please email sheccg.engagementactivity@nhs.net.
As we received great engagement and a fantastic response on Twitter we want to keep the #shapingsheffield has tag trending in Sheffield. Why not continue to use #shapingsheffield to carry on the conversations with different organisations and the public.
NHS Sheffield CCG's 2016/17 Commissioning (or Operational) Plan details year one of the CCG's actions to contribute to the five year Sheffield-wide Strategy and the South Yorkshire and Bassetlaw Sustainability and Transformation Plan (STP).
