NHS Walk-in Centre for adult and children's medical problems (Sheffield City GP Health Centre)
Located at the Sheffield City GP Health Centre on Broad Lane, the NHS Walk in Centre is open from 8am to 10pm, 365 days per year. Members of the public can walk-in as an unregistered patient and see a nurse or GP without an appointment for a range of minor illnesses and ailments. Unfortunately the NHS Walk in Centre cannot deal with the following:
- Injuries that may require X Ray
- Long standing medical conditions that are managed by your own GP.
- Sick Notes/Fit For Work Notes.
- Dental Problems - we can only provide pain relief not antibiotics.
- Repeat Prescriptions - Emergency short supply only.
- Ear syringing
- Ongoing Dressing Care - One offs only
For minor injuries please use the Minor Injuries Unit at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital (see below).
Sheffield Minor Injuries Unit - adults only

The Minor Injuries Unit provides treatment for adults (over 16) for non-life threatening injuries or illnesses, such as:
- Sprains and strains
- Wound infections
- Minor burns and scalds
- Insect and animal bites
- Rib injuries
We also treat minor eye injuries after 4.30pm during week days and anytime over the weekend.
The unit cannot treat injures to the chest, back or bone injuries to the hips or thighs.
