Musculoskeletal services

THIS ENGAGEMENT OPPORTUNITY IS NOW CLOSED.

Thank you to the people who have contributed.

Musculoskeletal (MSK) includes over 200 different conditions affecting joints, bones, muscles and soft tissues and covers individual services like Orthopaedics, Rheumatology, Chronic Pain and Physiotherapy. As well as back and neck pain MSK services also deals with shoulder, elbow, wrist, knee, ankle and foot problems.

MSK conditions are a major burden on both individuals and the NHS and with increases in life expectancy and an aging population, MSK conditions such as arthritis and joint pains will only increase.

Do you or a family member have experience of MSK services in Sheffield?

NHS Sheffield Clinical Commissioning (CCG) are looking for people to share their experiences and thoughts about the services they receive or how a musculoskeletal condition affects their lives.

So if you or a family member have experience of MSK services in Sheffield, sign up to our ‘involve me’ network to get involved and have your say on local MSK services.

MSK conditions can affect us all

You may not have an MSK problem now but with MSK conditions set to become one of the leading causes of disability by 2020 these conditions could affect all of us at some point in our lives.

There will be opportunities for people to have their say and be involved in the conversation about musculoskeletal services. Events will bring together members of the public, health professionals and NHS Sheffield CCG to talk about how these services can be provided in the future. We also have a survey which you can fill in to tell us about your experiences. Find out more here.
