Freedom of Information Act 2000 – Request for Information
We are pleased to respond to your request for information and our response is set out below:
Request/ Response
I am sending this request under the Freedom of Information Act to ask for the following information:
A fixed amount was not allocated by NHSE to individual CCGs as part of the CCG financial regime. Funding is based upon reimbursement of actual costs incurred to enable Hospital Discharge Planning during the pandemic. An allocation for March – May at this point in line with figures stated in Question 2
To May NHS Sheffield CCG and Sheffield City Council have incurred costs of £2.956m which the CCG has received an allocation for.
Discussions are on-going to confirm the final amount to be included in the funding pool. Recent guidance changes and additional funding streams being released have required recalculation of the absolute values included. The principles of which budgetary areas and categories of spend to be included have been agreed within the Joint Commissioning Management structure in place between both organisations. Final values are planned to be included within the S75 contact when signed in early July.
The CCG does not provide oxygen to care homes. The CCG has a contract with a provider for oxygen and this is distributed on a named patient basis not specifically to care homes.
For the period 1st March to 7th July 2020 there have been 63 outbreaks.
