Freedom of Information Act 2000 – Request for Information
We are pleased to respond to your request for information and our response is set out below:
Request/ Response
1. The STP/ICS’ system control total for 2020/21.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic the system control totals are no longer applicable as the new financial framework is very different to that of previous years.
2. The STP/ICS’ (measured as sum of organisations involved as per system control total) financial position (surplus/deficit) at the end of the 2019/20 financial year.
The ICS financial position reported at year end 2019/20 was a favourable variance against plan of £1.5m excluding Provider Sustainability Funding (PSF).
3. The STP/ICS’ financial projection (surplus/deficit measured in the same way) for the end of the 2020/21 financial year.
Due to the novel, complex and yet to be completed financial arrangements that have occurred as a result of Covid-19 this information is not available.
4. The number of jobs created by the STP/ICS since its formation – broken down by agenda for change (and VSM) bandings.

6. Please detail the short, medium and long-term capital projects planned by the STP/ICS – broken down by date, projected cost and amounts of funding already secured.
The only ICS capital project to date is the Primary Care Programme that is currently being worked up. This is a £57.5m project spanning multiple sites across the region and includes 4 of the 5 places locally. This programme is intended to be completed by 22/23, however the impact of Covid-19 may delay this dependent upon the affects felt by the construction industry. All other capital bids are led by sovereign organisations via their own governance routes and although these may be collated and prioritised by the ICS the projects are under organisational ownership.
