I am writing to make a request in relation to the matter detailed below. Please disclose:

Re: COVID-19 and patient eligibility for assisted conception services 

Any information regarding NHS Sheffield CCG’s approach to patient eligibility for assisted conception services, in cases where:

1. Under normal circumstances, there exists an upper age limit for access to assisted conception services

Under the circumstances described above the patient would be assessed by the Individual Funding Request Team (IFR) to determine whether they were eligible for assisted conception.

2. Delays related to the COVID-19 pandemic have resulted in (or may result in) patients exceeding that limit.

Sheffield Clinical Commissioning Group is not aware of any delays related to Covid-19. In the instances where an individual exceeds the limit due to delays related to Covid-19, they would be assessed by the IFR team to determine if they are eligible for assisted conception.
