Community Development and Health Programmes
Introduction to Community Development in Health (ICDH) and What is Health (WisH) courses combine personal development and community development learning.  They are ideal for people who are interested in learning how their experience of health and wellbeing can influence and change their local community.

The programmes encourage people to make small changes to their own health and that of their families and then seek out local services and use them appropriately. In addition, participants can develop knowledge and skills that will be useful in volunteering and employment. For example, communication skills, improving language, skills to work with individuals and groups, understanding concepts like cooperation, social inclusion, equalities and collective action. The course is delivered in a gentle, fun and informal way. For more information, contact Mai Mustaphanin on 0114 2930686 / 07736793272 or email mai.mustaphanin@sheffield.gov.uk.
