In accordance with the Act I should be grateful if you would let me have information for Sheffield CCG.
For the periods 1st April 2016 - 31st March 2017 and 1st April 2017 - 31st March 2018 please provide the following information.
1. How many individuals with a diagnosis of mental illness have been placed in private Nursing Homes who are wholly funded by your CCG
2016/17 - 86 admitted to care homes
2017/18 - 61 admitted to care homes
2018/19 - 45 admitted to care homes
All of these are defined by a Mental Health Fully Funded category on our database.
Section 117 eligible patients – since May 2015 the cost of care for patients eligible funding under section 117 aftercare is shared with Sheffield City Council on a 50% share basis.
a) How many of these individuals have challenging behaviour?
Our database doesn't allow reporting on individual diagnosis characteristic types other than a medical diagnosis field in the database options. However all patients will have some form of Mental Health diagnosis which could include challenging behaviour as an example.

b) What is the most expensive placement cost?
2016/2017 - £3791 per week
