Freedom of Information Act 2000 – Request for Information 

We are pleased to respond to your request for information and our response is set out below: 

Request 

I’m making a Freedom of Information request to every CCG in Yorkshire and Lincolnshire to request the following information: 

1. How many cases has your Clinical Commissioning Group dealt with regarding ‘serious injuries to babies’ in the last 10 years? (Please provide a breakdown year-on-year since 2009. Please consider the term ‘babies’ to mean anyone under the age of 2 years.)

2. How many cases has your Clinical Commissioning Group dealt with regarding ‘non-accidental head injuries’ to babies in the last 10 years? (Please provide a breakdown year-on-year since 2009. Please consider the term ‘babies’ to mean anyone under the age of 2 years.)

3. How many cases dealt with the death of an infant? (Please provide a breakdown year-on-year since 2009. Please consider the term ‘infant’ to mean anyone under the age of 2 years.)

4. How many cases lead to a prosecution? (Please provide a breakdown year-on-year since 2009.)

5. How many cases lead to a conviction? (Please provide a breakdown year-on-year since 2009.)

6. How many cases are/were attributed to Shaken Baby Syndrome?
